Sue is a British Horse Society Level 5 Performance Coach (previously BHSI) and holds her UKCC Level 3 in Eventing. She is passionate about coaching and is happy to work with riders at any level who wish to improve their skills. Sue gives individual sessions and also holds regular clinics for small groups of participants at various venues in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
Having gained her MSc in Sport Coaching (with merit) in 2014, Sue became Coach Educator for the British Horseracing Authority, developing coaching for the Jockey Coaching and Rider Coaching Programmes. Implementing these two coaching pathways and delivering training courses with a 100% coaching assessment success rate, led to Sue being nominated and awarded UK Coaching Coach Developer of the Year in December 2019.
Sue undertakes many regional training clinics for British Eventing and can be found at popular venues such as Somerford Park (Cheshire), Breckenborough (North Yorkshire), Speetley (Derbyshire), Bishop Burton (Yorkshire) and Norton Disney (Lincolnshire). Sue is an Assessor for UKCC levels 2 and 3 in Eventing, she also delivers training on a regular basis for these qualifications in her role as a Coach Educator for BE. As an Internal Verifier she is also called upon to ensure that coaching assessments are impartial.
Sue offers coaching and mentoring for British Horse Society qualifications and is also an Assessor for Stages 1-3 and Stage 2 and 3 Teaching Assessments
Sue is an approachable coach with a listening ear who has extensive experience of training both horses and riders. With a confident attitude and an open minded methodology, competition riders and career students return to ask for her services time and time again.
